How it works

At MereBaal, we use extended-release minoxidil, an ingredient that helps slow hair loss and regrow hair.

Minoxidil is a vasodilator: it relaxes blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. It has long been used for high blood pressure, and it is now widely used to treat hair loss.

Extended-release capsules release it gradually rather than all at once. MereBaal compounds them in two strengths, 5 mg and 8 mg, so your dermatologist can choose the one that suits you.

In the follicle

Extended release

Stays in the hair-growth range twice as long as a standard 2.5 mg tablet

What to expect

Slow and steady.

Treatment can help stop or slow hair loss, and it may also help regrow hair. The earlier treatment starts, the better it works. Hair grows slowly, so changes take months, and your dermatologist checks in along the way.

Can I choose 5 mg or 8 mg myself?

No. Your dermatologist chooses the strength after your consultation, based on your health and your hair.

How is it delivered?
